Portland Support GroupThe support group meets from 7:00 to 9:00 pm on the fourth Wednesday of each month, at Maine Medical Center's Dana Center. The meetings are free and open to the public. The primary focus of this support group is to provide support to parents and caregivers of children with Tourette Syndrome, but anyone who would like to join us is more than welcome at the meetings. DirectionsThe directions below are to the Dana Center parking lot. Note that after 6:00 pm, free parking is also available on Bramhall Street. From the NorthTake I-295 south to Exit 5A. As you come off the exit ramp bear right. Bear right again at the next intersection and you will be on Congress Street heading East. Continue over the railroad tracks and through two traffic lights. At the top of the hill at the third traffic light, turn right onto Bramhall Street. Continue past the main hospital entrance and enter the small parking lot on the right. From the SouthTake the Maine Turnpike (I-95) north to Exit 44 (downtown Portland). After the toll booth continue straight on Interstate 295 to Exit 5A, Congress Street (East). Continue over the railroad tracks and through two traffic lights. At the top of the hill at the third traffic light, turn right onto Bramhall Street. Continue past the main hospital entrance and enter the small parking lot on the right. From the West (Route 302)Follow Route 302 East to Forest Avenue. At the end of Forest Avenue, turn right onto Congress Street. Continue on Congress Street through two traffic lights. At the third traffic light, turn left onto Bramhall Street. Continue past the main hostpital entrance and enter the small parking lot on the right. We understand that there is need for support groups in other areas, as well as a need for support groups that give children with TS the opportinity to meet others their own age.
